About Beryl
Strings felt like a puzzle until I realised that mastery requires as much patience as it does physical strength. 201 students have walked through my door to refine their bowing technique and vibrato after seeing how my methodical process works.
With an MMus from Royal Academy of Music and 5 years of experience, I simplify shifting positions and complex classical repertoire. We also prioritise tuning by ear and music theory so that every note carries intentionality and resonance. It is fulfilling to see students achieve the tone they have worked toward for months.

Hearing the first clean note after a long week of practice creates a unique sense of accomplishment. I guide you through the intricacies of violin performance by breaking down the bow hold until it feels like an extension of your own hand. We explore how to navigate shifting positions without losing your centre of gravity or pitch accuracy. Since I have taught 201 students, I know exactly which technical hurdles often cause frustration and how to clear them with efficient, repeatable practice habits.
My 5 years of experience ensure that your progress remains steady while we refine your vibrato and tone production in the classical repertoire. You get to decide how we balance the technical study with the pieces that resonate most with your personal style. It becomes quite simple to see the path forward once the foundation is set.
