About Sharon
I am a violin tutor with 5 years of experience and a Master of Music in Violin Performance. I enjoy helping students discover how patience and consistent practice lead to rewarding musical achievement.
My teaching approach is supportive, flexible, and designed around each learner's goals. I encourage students to develop confidence while building strong technical foundations and expressive playing skills.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing chamber concerts, exploring violin repertoire from different cultures, and creating educational practice resources. These experiences help me make every lesson engaging, practical, and inspiring.

My violin lessons encourage students to build excellent technique through supportive instruction and enjoyable practice. We study posture, bow movement, finger placement, intonation, rhythm, scales, tone production, string coordination, and expressive phrasing using carefully planned exercises and interesting musical pieces. Every lesson helps students improve confidently while enjoying the learning process.
As learners develop, we practice shifting, vibrato, sight reading, ensemble playing, recital preparation, ear training, musical interpretation, and efficient practice methods. I provide personalized feedback that helps students overcome challenges while strengthening both technical ability and artistic confidence.
My goal is to help students become expressive violinists who perform with confidence, accuracy, and musical understanding. Every lesson builds lasting skills that support continued success and enjoyment.
