About Tayzah-James
I am a 3rd year Veterinary Medicine student studying at the University of Nottingham. I understand how overwhelming it is when you struggle with difficult topics and when you feel lessons move too quickly. Additionally, I understand the anxiety that comes with asking teachers for help.
During my time at school and university, I found that I gained so much understanding by talking to my peers about topics I struggled with. Therefore, I try to create a casual environment during my lessons, and I encourage students to constantly ask questions. This way you will become more confident in your chosen subject.

I tutor with a student-centred learning approach: the lesson starts with me addressing any questions they have. From there, concepts can be explained, and when the student feels more comfortable with the topic we can attempt practice questions together. Notes/questions are shared together through screen shares and Microsoft OneNote. Each lesson lasts one hour.
I understand students want tutoring to be extra support rather than extra workload, so I tend to avoid long explanations and setting many questions to tackle alone. I find this makes them feel more engaged and supported.
My qualifications include eleven 9s at GCSE, and Triple As in Biology, Chemistry and French at A-Level.
