About Dale
I am a professional Canadian educator who branched into other kinds of communication as an amateur actor and as an international sports announcer in track and field. Everyone says I'm really easy to understand.
I taught high school history and law but became an international specialist when my school district wanted to develop connections in Asia. This led to a career shift into international communication.
My second career involved development of materials and strategies for recruitment of international university students. This involved finding ways to communicate complex information to students and parents in other countries. I made more than 100 recruitment lectures ( with interpreters) in various countries.

My students say I can talk to them about any subject. I have taught numerous kinds of lessons: developing oral English for Chinese children, raising the IELTS writing score to 7.0 for an Arab man, helping doctors prepare for residency interviews, assisting a Korean English teacher with materials interpretation, guiding a German history researcher in editing presentations and maintaining conversation practice for more than 300 hours each for long term students from Russia, Turkey and China
Lessons are based 100% on the individual needs of the student. The first session is always about learning the needs and goals of the student and is followed by finding out how much structure the student wants.
We'll always begin with the student's current level of knowledge and skills. Lessons can involve frequent repetition of basic structures and vocabulary but will always expand to apply what is learned in new situations.
