About Sophia
I have always had a passion for teaching, and starting tutoring after finishing my GCSES. I find it very rewarding watching students realise their potential and grow in confidence, achieving grades/ getting into schools or universities that they are proud of. I think that teaching is mainly about inspiring confidence and determination in young people, and I find people are often a lot more capable than they think!

I cater lessons to the ability and age of my students; for younger students, I often find 1 or 2 30 minute lessons work better than 1 hour lessons, then for older students I am happy to do 1-2 hours at a time.
I believe in catering to my student's learning styles, incorporating videos, interactive quizzes, mind-maps and discussions. I believe that interactive and thought-provoking lessons are the best for learning and the most fun!
I have a First Class BSc with honours degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography, and am currently working towards my degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
