About IRENE
For French, for over a decade, in Alaska, I taught over 50 French college courses at all levels of a bachelor’s degree. I taught beginners through AP at two high schools. I instructed classes to the Canadian Forces (military) from beginners to native speakers. I also tutored many children, pre-K through high school, and adults who had a variety of abilities.
For English composition, I taught basic, college and research writing courses at a state university in Pennsylvania. I also rated 1000s of incoming college student essays and portfolios to place students in appropriate English courses.
For ESL, I taught numerous courses to pre-university, undergraduate and graduate students in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Alabama. I tutored and mentored many students as well.
I developed or reviewed curriculum and course in a box using several Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas, WebCT, and Blackboard for all those courses.
I supervised up to 36 ESL instructors who taught to more than 800 students. I oversaw an undergraduate program and a graduate program at a major university in Alabama.
Most students have flourished under my tutoring, guidance, and instruction, and I have constantly received excellent evaluations. I always strive to make learning fun, yet rigorous, and I work hard with you to help you attain your objectives.
