About Sal
For more than ten years, I’ve helped students ages 8-18 build skills and confidence, both privately and through A+ Tutoring, Franklin Educational Services, and the Southeast Community Foundation. I hold a degree from UVA and an MBA from William & Mary, but what matters most to me is understanding how each child learns and meeting them where they are. I communicate openly with parents, set clear goals, and keep sessions focused and encouraging. References are available, and your child’s first session is free, so you can decide if we’re a good fit.

I’m a tutor with more than a decade of experience, working privately and through A+ Tutoring, Franklin Educational Services, and the Southeast Community Foundation. With a UVA degree, an MBA from William & Mary, and years as a data analyst, I explain things clearly and break problems into steps. I work with students ages 8-18 on SAT/ACT, GRE and GED prep, college essays, math through calculus, and all subjects up to AP level. My sessions are structured but adaptable, built around each student’s goals and pace. I tutor online and in person, and I offer a free first session.
