About Wensi
I am a Master of Teaching (Secondary) student at the University of Sydney, specializing in Mathematics. I also have a strong academic background in Data Science and Financial Mathematics & Statistics.
Through my teaching placement in a Sydney high school, I have gained real classroom experience working with secondary students and explaining mathematical concepts in clear and simple ways.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in Math and realize that difficult topics can become much easier when they are explained in the right way. I am patient, friendly and supportive, and I always try to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions.

I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) in Mathematics at the University of Sydney, with real classroom teaching experience in a Sydney high school. I also have an academic background in Data Science and Financial Mathematics & Statistics.
My lessons focus on helping students understand the ideas behind the maths, rather than simply memorising formulas. I explain concepts step by step, use simple examples and visual methods where helpful, and adjust my teaching style based on each student’s needs and confidence level.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and can include concept explanation, worked examples, school homework support, revision and exam preparation. I mainly teach Years 7–12 students and aim to create a patient, supportive and encouraging learning environment.
