My approach:
A typical lesson will last one hour. Each lesson is planned to address student needs and to improve their understanding of the unit or text they are studying in class. Lessons will generally focus on one or two core skills (i.e. comprehension, analysis, writing).
Lessons may involve analysing excerpts and crafting responses to practice questions, or creating original creative, persuasive or discursive texts. All lessons will end with an opportunity for the student to ask questions, identify areas they wish to cover in future, or propose ideas and texts to analyse.
