About Kira
People would argue that being a millennial puts me at a professional disadvantage.
However, I disagree. Being a young but very experienced teacher means that I can connect with the students and their experience while also teaching the skills necessary to meet and exceed the guidelines and expectations.
I’m up-to-date on modern/contemporary texts and strategies that work for students in the 21st century classroom; and I’m also trained to teach the classic novels and foundational structures that provide success for all kids.

I believe that learning is the most successful when students are engaged. Therefore, my lessons are fun and based on topics of each students’ interest. It’s important for me to get to know each of my students and plan according to his/her/their interests and skill level.
Although my lessons are modern, they are still rigorous and will push you to the next level of your education. That’s what learning is about: being challenged in fun but meaningful ways.
