About Daisy
A good tutor is truly a valuable gift. I know that first-hand. Growing up, I had a tutor whom I considered a second mother, and she made me a successful student who graduated highschool with 97% GPA, 6 AP credits, a 1530 SAT score, and 2 entrance scholarships from UofT. Mind you, she passed away when I was in 7th grade. But I can credit her with my success because she had given me the necessary skills and tools that guide my learning to this day.
Now, I am a university student who has further learned how to navigate a whole new academic environment. I've come to understand that academia is not easily accessible for most students, but my foundational skills have allowed me to thrive and maintain my passion for learning.
So in conclusion, I am first and foremost a neurodivergent student with EXPERIENCE in advocating for necessary accommodations, seeking available supports, and creating study techniques that work WITH our brains, not against.
If you need a tutor who can help you or your child become someone who not only loves, but is GOOD at learning, then I am the person for you. Lessons will be conducted on a basis of mutual respect, and I will do my best to help the student become enthusiastic, skillful learners for life.

LONG-TERM TUTORING:
I will prioritize student/tutor bonding in order to foster my understanding of their minds, as well as to create a safe and interesting environment for the student.
Following an initial assessment of the student's current struggles and frustrations, I will teach not only the course content, but also the know-hows in studying in a way that takes advantage of the student's strengths and improves/accommodates their weaknesses.
