About Catherine
As a recent high-school leaver and current university student, I have unique and relevant first-hand experience of the difficulties of school English - whether it be struggling to overcome certain obstacles or wishing to excel in a competitive environment.
My personal passion for the subject is demonstrated by my results in Advanced English and, Extension English I and II. You'd struggle to find a bigger book worm or a keener eye for the intricacies of grammar.
This is enhanced by my experiences as a volunteer after-school tutor for newly arrived students of refugee backgrounds.

Education is a fluid and highly personal experience, as a result a wide range of techniques and strategies are used in my approach to tuition with the goal of finding a methodology that enhances a student's knowledge (and appreciation) for a subject area. This includes the incorporation of both traditional teaching methods such as direct instruction and the submission of tasks as well as contemporary strategies such as flipped classroom or game-based learning.
