About Layla
I am a graduate from UNR with a Bachelors in Neuroscience. I have roughly 4 years of tutoring experience, ranging from 5th grade up to first-year college courses. I have experience in Basic Mathematics, Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Trig/Precalculus, Biology, and Chemistry, as well as comprehensive ACT/SAT prep. I am open to exploring other subjects as well! When I’m not tutoring, I like to spend time outdoors doing all sorts of things like camping, rock climbing, skiing, fishing, mountain biking, and running with my husband and our two dogs!

I specialize in math and science for elementary, middle, and high school, as well as certain entry level college courses (100-200 level). My lessons are generally 1-2 hours and include a quick overview lesson, homework help, and general math skills practice that is applicable to your class. I believe it is important to have a strong foundation in math and science if you want to excel throughout each course. I emphasize building that with continuous practice of materials in addition to the current lessons and assignments that your class is going through.
