About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:

My tutoring approach is centered around understanding each student's unique learning style and tailoring my methods accordingly. Here are the key aspects of my methodology:

Personalized Learning Plans: I start by assessing the student's strengths and areas for improvement. This allows me to create a customized learning plan that targets specific needs.

Interactive Sessions: I believe in making learning interactive and engaging. I use a variety of resources, including visual aids, discussion-based learning, and real-world examples, to explain complex literary concepts and techniques.

Step-by-Step Guidance: For essay writing and text analysis, I break down the process into manageable steps. This includes planning, drafting, and revising, with detailed feedback provided at each stage.

Skill Development: I focus on developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication. These skills are not only essential for excelling in VCE English but are also valuable for future academic and professional success.

Regular Practice and Feedback: I provide regular practice assignments and in-depth feedback to help students continuously improve and build confidence in their abilities.

Typical Length of a Lesson:

A typical tutoring session lasts 60 minutes. This duration allows us to cover new material, review previous work, and address any questions or concerns the student may have. For students preparing for exams or needing more intensive support, longer sessions of 90 minutes can be arranged.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:

I graduated with a high ATAR and a study score of 45 in VCE English, placing me in the top 5% of students in Victoria. With over two years of tutoring experience, I have helped numerous students achieve their academic goals. My background ensures that I am well-versed in the VCE English curriculum and exam requirements.

Who Are My Lessons For:

My lessons are designed for VCE students, typically aged 16-18, who are seeking to improve their performance in English. Whether you're aiming to boost your study scores, need help with specific areas like text analysis or essay writing, or want to build overall confidence in the subject, my tutoring services are tailored to meet your needs.
