About Derek
Hello! I’m a passionate French tutor with over four years of experience teaching high school and college students. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working with around 150 students, helping them build their confidence and skills in the French language.
My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to meet individual needs. I use a mix of interactive activities, such as conversations, games, and cultural exploration, to make learning French enjoyable and effective.
One of my proudest achievements is helping many of my students successfully pass their language exams, including the DELF and AP French. I have also guided several students in improving their speaking and writing skills, leading to better grades and increased confidence in their abilities.
