I’m a published author with five books in fantasy and adventure and over fifteen years of experience in childcare and education. My background allows me to connect with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to aspiring writers. I combine creativity with structure, helping students discover their voice while building confidence and storytelling technique. Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach combines imagination-building with step-by-step skill development. I focus on:
- Story structure (beginning, middle, end)
- Character and world-building
- Dialogue, pacing, and tone
- Vocabulary building and sentence flow
- Confidence in sharing ideas
I use prompts, brainstorming talks, visual inspiration, and guided writing exercises to spark creativity while improving technique.
A Typical Lesson Plan
- Every session is engaging, supportive, and structured:
- Warm-Up Prompt – A quick exercise to get ideas flowing
- Skill Focus – A short lesson on a writing element (characters, plot, setting, etc.)
- Guided Writing Time – Students apply the concept with support
- Feedback & Growth – Positive critique, tips, and next steps
- Optional Take-Home Practice – Optional assignments for continued progress
