About Rachel
I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Columbia University with a passion for helping students who are passionate about the human body but find it challenging. I earned my bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut and have experience mentoring college students and tutoring kids. Having once struggled with anatomy myself, I focus on simplifying complex material by breaking it down to key concepts, making it easier for you to understand and retain. Implicating pictures to label and creating a story out of the material you’re learning step by step will truly solidify your learning and paint the big picture of understanding the human body.

Anatomy can be challenging, which is why I focus on making it easier to grasp. By highlighting the big picture and breaking down the key concepts in each system, I help you build a strong, clear understanding of the material.
My teaching method/ typical lesson plan:
- focusing on a specific system
- break down the associated nerves, arteries, veins, and osteology in that system
- pathology/clinical correlate application if applicable
- telling a “story” of the specific system/extremity that will be reviewed to help engage and better understand material.
Open to students learning basic anatomy in middle/high school or college anatomy levels! Teaching method/technique specific to individuals and learning level.
