About Yifan

I am currently a first year student and I am very sociable, warm, patient and friendly.
I have been teaching Chinese to students of all levels and backgrounds, and I am committed to making the learning experience engaging, enjoyable, and in line with your personal goals.
My teaching style is positive, patient and adaptable. I aim to create a comfortable, supportive learning environment where you feel confident to ask questions and progress at your own pace. In addition to language skills, I like to incorporate Chinese culture, traditions and history into my lessons to give you an immersive experience. I am excited to help you not only learn to speak, read and write Chinese, but also to understand the culture behind it.

Welcome to my Chinese class! I am a native Mandarin speaker with a passion for teaching. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner, my classes are tailored to your specific needs.
I have a friendly and patient approach to teaching and will tailor my lessons to suit your level before you start. Whether you are preparing for exams, business, travelling or simply want to explore a new language, I will help you build your confidence, improve your skills and achieve your goals step by step.
1. Communicative Language Teaching
I emphasise real-life communication and the practical use of Putonghua with a focus on conversational skills. You will participate in dialogues, role-plays and discussions to build confidence in speaking and understanding Chinese in everyday life.
2. Task-based learning
Lessons are structured around meaningful tasks, such as ordering food, asking for directions or business conversations. This method allows you to learn the language naturally while completing practical activities.
3. Personalised Learning Plan
Every student is unique, so I will create a personalised lesson plan based on your goals, interests and level. Whether you want to focus on speaking, grammar, business Chinese or culture, I will adapt it to your needs.
