About Jeanne
I am a junior at Temple University where I tutor writing to students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. I am pursuing a B.A. in Anthropology and B.S. in Biology, and as a result, I am especially well-acquainted with academic and scientific writing. However, as a tutor, students come to me with myriad assignments: from poems to personal statements.
Mistakes are a common and necessary part of the writing process and a second pair of eyes is a critical part of it. Therefore, I am not afraid to meet you where you are: I feel strongly that writing is a creative tool and its conventions merely refine how you wield it.
I have a deep passion for helping students to effectively articulate their ideas. It is such an honor and privilege to have any small part in shaping my students and peers as academics and communicators-- the same way that my teachers, peers, and importantly, students, have shaped me.
Tutoring writing is a collaborative process. I so look forward to working with you.

I help students at every stage in the writing process: from brainstorming to proofreading to breaking down already-graded assignments.
In a session, I will prioritize our time to focus on either content or sentence-level revision, depending on your interests and concerns. I will also account for any areas where I feel instruction could be beneficial to your process, all while ensuring that I preserve your style and voice.
For AP and/or SAT instruction, I feel that getting hands-on practice with grammar, punctuation, and syntax through examples and practice questions is the most invaluable strategy to enhancing your performance on the exam.
