About Lauryn
I am in my second year at the University of Waterloo for a medicinal chemistry degree, and have been tutoring for three years. I also have experience as a teaching assistant in high school, and was given an award at graduation for the educational work I did in my community.

For me, teaching looks different for every student I work with. I frequently create diagnostic resources for students to better understand where they're starting from, and begin sessions with a conversation based lesson, where students can interject, ask for clarification, and I can learn how they learn best. I tend to work with high school students in the science and math streams, and I believe that the better a student understands their learning style, the easier it is for us to improve their performance.

Life happens! My cancellation or missed appointment policy is no charge, provided the student has a valid reason, informs me the day before, or if it's the first time they haven't been able to keep their appointment. If this isn't the case, it is only a $5 fee, and is by no means necessary if there are outstanding circumstances.
