About Reuben
I’m sporty and academically driven with a passion for learning, travel, and football. As a dedicated Economics student, I balance my studies with an active lifestyle, playing football for my halls at the University of Warwick and following Liverpool Football Club with enthusiasm! My love of exploring new places has taken me from my home town near Manchester to Nakuru in Kenya, where I’ve had the opportunity to teach maths in a range of diverse environments. These experiences have strengthened my adaptability, broadened my perspective, and deepened my commitment to education. Whether in the classroom or on the pitch, I bring energy, curiosity, and a positive mindset, always aiming to support others and make a meaningful impact.

My tutoring approach is centred on clarity, patience, and building genuine confidence in every student I work with. As an Economics student with a strong background in mathematics, I draw on both my academic training and my early experience tutoring peers during my A-levels, as well as GCSE students in Years 10 and 11. I focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, manageable steps, ensuring students not only understand a method but also why it works. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, needs, and learning style, allowing me to provide targeted practice and personalised guidance. I emphasise active problem-solving, encouraging students to think independently while offering structured support when needed. Above all, I strive to create a friendly, encouraging, fun environment where mistakes are treated as opportunities for learning. My goal is to help every student develop stronger mathematical skills and long-lasting academic confidence!
