About KAREEM

As a student who grew up in Dubai, I've always been immersed in diversity and the different education systems, which has made me very knowledgeable on how best to prepare efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, I've been continuously selected by my past teachers and high school principals to remain an incoming freshman advisor and provide tutoring services as a student that was able to get in and succeed at UofT. I've been a part of professional tutoring services based in Dubai and continuously teach students there. Furthermore, I'm very outgoing, supportive and patient. I know the uncomfortable feeling that being unprepared feels like, and I know how difficult it is to approach hard math concepts if you feel unconfident. This is exactly why I love to tutor, I can easily provide the push and structure needed to find a student's preferred studying technique and ensure success.

About the lesson

I believe that every student has a unique learning method and finding the right one is half of the difficult work in achieving your academic goals. Whether you are a visual learner, or a reader/listener, I'm ready to make the most use of our session and get you to your goals. I value openness, honesty and effort - It's important to always be honest about your personal progress when we are reflecting and to never be shy to say something is still tricky. I'm extremely patient and I care about helping you get good grades because that is the only peace of mind that a student should have - easy education. Specifically, I think learning concepts is extremely important for laying our foundation which should be the first goal of every session. However, it is also extremely important, if not more, to also equally practice the Math and computation. This ensures we are covering all types of question 'cases' and that you are comfortable attempting questions with those tricky twists with my support. This is so that when you are independently studying, you already feel somewhat familiar with the process of answering difficult questions and therefore will be studying much more effectively and efficiently. We will do lots of recall and make sure concepts are always simmering in your head + making sure you are ahead of your curriculum if we will meet regularly.
