About Patrick
My name is Patrick, and I am a 3rd year university student living in Newcastle, NSW. I have spent more than 10 years living, breathing and loving music, and want to share and nurture that passion in others! Everyone's journey in music is unique, and so I tailor my lessons to accommodate the individual student, and help them achieve success at whatever level they require, whether it be playing your first chord or writing your first song! Whatever your experience, interests or goals are, I will strive to support you in any way I can.

I am a trained drummer, and a self-taught guitarist and multi-instrumentalist who has over 10 years experience performing and studying music. My belief is that the first and most key step to learning any instrument or furthering your musical knowledge is to develop your passion! Music should be fun, and so I approach teaching music with a balance of fun and functionality foremost in my mind, developing fundamental skill while also nurturing a student's love for what they are doing. With a wide taste in music, I can cater for the musical interests of a student, and provide them with both exercises and songs that they will enjoy. Additionally, I have a deep passion for music history and theory, and as such am more than equipped to assist students through the theoretical aspects of HSC Music 1, including: - Musical analysis - Viva Voce preparation - Composition My lessons are designed for entry-intermediate level players who are looking to start or further explore their interest in music. Lessons can be 30-60mins, with one-off long form lessons available prior to performances or other assessments.
