About Sophie
My name is Sophie, I’m 19, and I currently study at the University of York. I have 3 A-level qualifications and an EPQ, I achieved all 9s at GCSEs and have extensive work and volunteering experience. Having younger siblings has made me patient, approachable, and skilled at explaining complex ideas clearly, while my interests in sport and reading help me build motivation, discipline, and confidence in my students. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students become independent, confident learners.

I believe every student is different and has different capabilities which can be strengthened through one-to-one tutoring. As a Russell Group university student with A-level qualifications, a grammar school background, and extensive work and volunteering experience, I understand both high academic standards and how to help students reach them.
