About Virginia
I am currently an undergraduate student at McGill University in Montréal, Canada. Before studying abroad, I lived in Taiwan and had more than 3 years of experience helping local Taiwanese children better their English conversational skills. I taught several groups of children, all with varying English levels. I find so much joy in supporting young students in this way, and would love to continue in doing so!

I strive to get to know each student so I may individualize lesson plans to suit their interests and strengths. By acknowledging a student's uniqueness, success in learning is more easily achieved. I want my students to be engaged and to find joy in the learning process. I want them to truly absorb what they are learning, which is why I incorporate creative games and activities to elevate their interests. I specialize in helping children whose first language is Mandarin Chinese and have a desire to improve their conversational skills.
