About Mia

Hi, I'm Mia and I'm an undergraduate student at a Russell Group University, I recently finished my A-Levels in English Literature, History and French. During my free time, I love to paint, do ballet and read! I am an approachable and hard-working person, and will do everything I can to help improve your confidence in English! I have had experience tutoring GCSE English for 3 years and will ensure that lessons are personalised to each student. I have also received a Pass with Distinction in my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) 120 hour course, so am well-equipped to teach non-native speakers also. I have significant experience teaching OCR, AQA and WJEC exam boards for GCSE.

About the lesson

Our lessons will include a mix of essay writing practice and feedback, in-depth discussions of the books, and active recall for GCSE level, and for younger students lessons will be tailored to fit individual needs! Lessons are aimed at A-Level or below.
Example lesson types available: GCSE/A Level English Lit/Lang booster sessions, GCSE prep sessions, 11 + prep sessions, Home learning sessions

Perfect! Mia has been tutoring my 13yo daughter for some time and she’s been fantastic. Ella has really engaged and is thoroughly enjoying the lessons. Very friendly, always makes sure Ella understands what she’s doing and a very relaxed learning atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
