About Nina
I have little experience teaching, however I am very passionate about English and believe I could really help A level students in particular, as my written work from my previous college is now used by my previous English teacher as exemplar work for the class to study. I am currently a student at the University of Nottingham in 2nd year and received an A* at A-Level English in Literature and Language combined as one subject. Therefore, I have a wide knowledge of both literature and language, especially since studying it at a degree level.

My teaching method is to really based on mastering my students strengths and weaknesses and making a personalised learning plan which tackles those weaknesses.. My lessons would be structured in a way that involves and engages the student. I will also focus a part of each lesson on exam skills and how to effectively write an essay as this is often overlooked in mainstream education. My lessons would vary in topic and focus on one per lesson. For example if studying The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, one lesson may be on the theme of The American Dream. Then, the next lesson we would discuss 'Key quotes', next may be 'Planning an essay'.
