About Sienna

Hi everyone! My name is Sienna and I'm currently studying law. I’ve always been passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, which is why I’m excited to teach. Law teaches you to think critically, communicate clearly, and understand how the world works—and I want to help you develop those same skills in your own way. Beyond academics, I love writing and expressing ideas creatively. I also really enjoy connecting with people, so expect a classroom where discussion, questions, and mutual respect are front and center. I'm here not just to teach, but to learn from you too.

About the lesson

Develop Oral Fluency
Use structured speaking activities, like:
Role-plays (e.g. job interviews, ordering food).
Picture description (great for exams like IELTS).
Debates or discussions on age-appropriate topics.
Retelling stories or summarising videos/articles.

Use age-appropriate texts (articles, short stories, dialogues).
Teach skimming, scanning, and inference skills.
Ask comprehension and critical-thinking questions.
b. Writing

Focus on structure: paragraphs, essays, emails, etc.
Teach planning and editing strategies.
Practice grammar and vocabulary in context (not just drills).
c. Listening

Use podcasts, videos, or recorded conversations.
Train listening for gist, detail, and note-taking.
Follow up with discussion or comprehension tasks.
d. Speaking (Oral Expression)

Daily conversation practice, Q&A sessions, presentations.
Focus on fluency and confidence rather than perfection.
Role-plays and games to make it interactive.
3. Language Mechanics
Grammar: Teach with context, not isolated rules.
Vocabulary: Teach in themes (e.g. travel, food, school) and encourage usage.
Pronunciation: Include short drills or shadowing exercises.
