About Oscar
Having recently completed my own time at university, I understand the challenges students face and the importance of finding the right support to reach their academic potential.
Throughout my academic journey, I developed a strong interest in law, history and the wider humanities, alongside a passion for research, critical thinking and effective communication. My legal internships and professional experience have further strengthened my analytical skills and given me valuable insight into how academic knowledge can be applied in practice.
I am approachable, patient and enthusiastic about helping others learn. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance, encouragement and teaching approach. My aim is not simply to help students achieve better grades, but also to build their confidence, develop their independent thinking and give them skills they can use well beyond the classroom.
Outside of academics, I enjoy boxing, running, travelling and cooking, and I always welcome the opportunity to meet new people and share my interests.

My approach to tutoring is centred on making learning engaging, accessible and tailored to each student's individual needs. As a Law graduate from the University of Sheffield, where I achieved a 2:1, I understand the importance of developing strong analytical, research and essay-writing skills, as well as building confidence in a subject.
I aim to create a supportive and interactive learning environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and learning from mistakes. My lessons combine clear explanations of challenging topics with practical exercises, discussion and structured feedback. I adapt my teaching methods to each student's learning style, academic goals and existing level of understanding.
A typical lesson lasts an hour, although I am happy to adapt the length and structure to suit individual requirements. Lessons can focus on understanding difficult concepts, preparing for examinations, improving essay technique or developing broader academic skills.
Having studied law at university and worked in legal and commercial environments, I can bring real-world context to lessons, particularly in law and related humanities subjects.
I welcome students of different ages and abilities, from GCSE and A-level pupils to undergraduate students looking for additional support. Whether you are aiming to improve your grades, prepare for an important exam or simply develop a deeper understanding of a subject, I will work with you to achieve your goals.
