About Alexis
I provide high level learning support for all of my students and have over a decade of experience in teaching at various levels, especially the university level. I will work with you to not only understand the subject, but also to develop your skills to apply the information to other problems or seeing the connections between different subjects and the real world. I create an interesting learning environment and am willing to approach your learning in the way that best fits you, working with you one-on-one for as long as it takes for you to excel at the subject. I try to be available to my students as much as possible and work on your level, building up your skills in every meeting.

I take a holistic approach to teaching, working not only in subject areas, but also with the student to create better habits. I also work with them by raising them up and supporting them for more critical thinking and analysis so that they can work to their full potential. My typical lesson plan involves working with the student on the subjects they need, providing supplemental support, lectures, and discussions to raise learning outcomes. I can work with students in K-12, university/college, or even adult learners in English/literature courses, political science, history, and other humanities subject areas.
