About Chris
I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and studied music during my undergraduate and graduate schooling. I have been teaching at the university level for nearly 20 years. I have also developed OnDemand guitar lessons for the well known online lesson community, GuitarMasterClass for the past 10 years. My lessons have 700K views. Teaching is my profession and guitar is my passion. I love bringing these together and sharing them with others.

I approach each student uniquely based on an understanding of your personal goals and where you are today. That might mean we approach the lesson from a total beginner perspective, intermediate or advanced. There's no wrong place to start. A typical lesson will consist of discussions, exercises, and musical selections appropriate to where you are that will immediately give you new tools and lead to successes on the instrument. There are lots of opportunities to ask questions and we will move at the pace that is comfortable for you. I have 20 years teaching experience from elementary school ages to university level (my day job) and will tailor our sessions to you and your learning style. My areas of specialty are country, blues and rock electric guitar as well as music theory.
