About Jay
My name is Jared. I am a 23 year old male who got into teaching because of my commitment to help learners reach their full potential. The connections you make when teaching and the joy you experience when you help guide a learner to their potential is a feeling like no other. Teaching is my passion and one of the things enjoy most in this world! I am a graduate from the University of Pretoria where I obtained my degree in education, majoring in English and in History. I have one year of professional teaching experience as well as many months of practical experience from varsity. I am primarily able to teach beginner and intermediate English but i do specialise in essay writing for more advanced English practitioners.

My approach to teaching and learning is a flexible, learner focused approach. There is no formula and every learner is different and will require different approaches to succeed to their full potential! I am proficient and able to teach in English. Students can typically expect for lessons to focus primarily on grammar and reading and how this can be applied into important everyday experiences like writing end holding a conversation! The focus will be on the technical as well as the more casual, conversational aspects of English! My lessons are aimed at beginner and intermediate English learners but advanced learners who want to work on their writing abilities are also welcome!
