About Tiwaloluwa

Hello! I'm Tiwa - an incoming undergraduate PPE student at Oxford university. I've written (and excelled in) quite a lot of standardized tests - think ACT, SAT, LNAT, TSA - without much help over the past few years, and over time I've developed and mastered a method to ace each one. About the lesson

My approach to tutoring revolves around identifying each student's unique skills and weaknesses, allowing me to build personalized lesson plans that address their specific needs. I firmly believe in mitigating weaknesses while leveraging academic strengths to foster improvement. This includes focusing on both test-taking strategies and study skills, enabling students to excel in their academic pursuits.

To establish a solid foundation, I follow the motto of "little and often." I emphasize the significance of steady confidence and knowledge accumulation, which are achieved through consistent practice. By implementing this approach, students develop the necessary skills and mindset to achieve success on standardized tests.

The length of each tutoring lesson varies depending on the specific test being targeted. On average, a lesson spans 90 to 120 minutes per week. However, it's important to note that tutoring sessions should not replace personal practice. Students should dedicate time outside of lessons to independently revise and reinforce their understanding of the material.

As a tutor, my qualifications and experience have provided me with valuable insights and techniques to support students effectively. During my teenage years, I independently studied for and successfully completed various standardized tests. Notably, I achieved a score of 1510 on the SAT, 33 on the ACT, 69.7 on the Oxford TSA (admitted to Oxford for PPE), and 34 on the LNAT (admitted to the LSE for Law). Having attained these scores without tutoring, I have developed strategies and methods that can help any student excel on their tests.

My tutoring services primarily target students between the ages of 14 and 17 who are preparing for college or university admissions and tests. I understand the challenges and pressures these students face during this crucial phase of their academic journey. By offering tailored guidance and support, I aim to empower them to achieve their desired results and confidently pursue their educational aspirations.
