About Isabelle
Hello! I’m Isabelle, a recent graduate of Modern Languages (French and Italian). This September, I’ll be beginning an MSt in Public Policy at the University of Glasgow.
I’ve always loved languages and the opportunities they create to connect with different people and cultures. Throughout my studies, I’ve enjoyed helping others develop their confidence in French through one-to-one support, and I particularly enjoy seeing students grow in both ability and self-belief.
I know that learning a language can sometimes feel daunting, so I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves. Whether you’re aiming for top grades in GCSE or A-level French, or simply want to feel more confident in the subject, I’d love to help you achieve your goals.

I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. Whether a student is preparing for GCSE or A-level examinations, looking to improve their confidence in speaking French, or hoping to strengthen their grammar and essay-writing skills, I adapt my teaching style to help them achieve their goals.
Having studied French and Italian at the University of Oxford, I understand the importance of building both subject knowledge and confidence. I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps, encourage students to ask questions, and provide constructive feedback to help them make steady progress.
I believe the most effective learning happens in a positive and encouraging environment. My lessons are designed not only to prepare students for examinations, but also to help them develop a genuine understanding and enjoyment of languages. Together, we focus on identifying areas for improvement, celebrating progress and building the skills needed to succeed independently.
