About Thomas
Hello everyone, I'm Thomas! I am 23, a recent graduate of the University of Oxford in Classics, and currently live in Wiltshire.
I really enjoy learning and gaining knowledge, and I would love to be able to help people with their studies. I have expertise in A-Level and GCSE English Literature, Theatre Studies and History. From my time at university I can also tutor in Ancient Greek, Ancient History (Greece, Rome and Persia), Ancient and Modern Philosophy, Ancient Literature and Ancient Archaeology. I am also able to provide interview prep for entrance to Oxford and Cambridge in humanities subjects, as well as personal statement and CV work. I can also tutor in GCSE Spanish.

In my experience, the best way to learn is through academic discussions. I aim to teach thoroughly, basing conversations around central themes and questions in order to refine the student's understanding. I am keen to help students bridge gaps in their knowledge and develop a more critical approach to questions and ideas, aiding them in the final exam. Having been through the rigorous teaching-style of Oxford, I understand how enriching and effective this style of teaching can be. I am keen to respond to students' needs and set work where it would be helpful and suitable. Overall, I find it rewarding to see students grow and develop their academic skills for the future.
