About Gautami
Hi! I'm Gautami, a second-year Architectural Environmental Engineering student at the University of Nottingham with a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Having completed the International Baccalaureate (IB), I understand both the challenges and rewards of studying demanding subjects. I know that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I tutor Mathematics, Physics, English, Design Technology, and general study skills for primary, secondary, GCSE, and IB students. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and develop lasting problem-solving skills.
Outside of academics, I have been involved in leadership, design, music, and sport, experiences that have strengthened my communication, organisation, and teamwork. I enjoy making lessons engaging and interactive by adapting them to each student's individual needs and learning style. Whether you're preparing for an important exam, adapting to a particular topic, or simply looking to stay ahead, I'd be delighted to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to learning with you!

My teaching approach is centred on making learning engaging, structured, and tailored to each student's needs. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and pace to suit their learning style. I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use examples, diagrams, and practice questions to build understanding and confidence. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and focus on developing problem-solving skills rather than just memorising answers.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I can also offer 30-minute revision sessions or longer lessons if required. Each session begins with a review of previous material, followed by learning new concepts and finishing with practice questions to reinforce understanding.
I offer lessons for primary and secondary school students, including GCSE and IB students. I can help with Mathematics, Physics, English, Design Technology, and general study skills. Whether a student is looking to improve their confidence, prepare for exams, or strengthen their understanding of key concepts, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they can achieve their goals.
