About Donald
I graduated with a degree in Genetics from Purdue University before getting my PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Michigan. Being from a small town originally, I have always loved learning and have not lost that initial enthusiasm along the way. Now I am a "professional student"- I am an assistant professor of biology at a local university where I teach intro biology and genetics.

I use two main tools when teaching students: enthusiasm and visualization. I am passionate about my work, and so I share that passion with students to help them grasp the material according to their own abilities. Since biological topics can be difficult to grasp, I love using pictures, diagrams, and drawings of my own during my teaching to help students see the processes that they're learning step by step!
