About Rayna
I am a Bachelor of Science student at the University of Melbourne with a strong interest in English, literature and academic writing. As a bilingual English and Chinese speaker, I understand the challenges students may experience when developing their language and writing skills.
I am patient, organized and committed to preparing lessons that match each student’s individual needs. I create a respectful and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions comfortably, practice without fear of making mistakes and receive constructive feedback. My goal is to help every student become a clearer, more confident and independent reader and writer.

My lessons are personalised according to each student’s level, learning style and academic goals. I begin by identifying the areas they would like to improve, then create clear activities focusing on English, literature analysis, grammar, vocabulary and essay writing.
A typical lesson may include reviewing a text, discussing its themes and literary techniques, planning an essay and improving a paragraph together. I guide students through introductions, topic sentences, evidence, analysis and conclusions using simple, step-by-step explanations. Students can also bring schoolwork, assignments or practice essays for feedback.
As a bilingual English and Chinese speaker, I can explain challenging ideas in either language when necessary. My lessons are supportive, patient and suitable for primary and secondary students, English-language learners and beginners who want to become more confident readers and writers.
