About Joshua
I am a dedicated science and mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students truly understand what they are learning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education, and I have experience working with high school and undergraduate-level coursework. My academic training (including student teaching as well as tutoring at both the high school and college level) allows me to explain complex topics clearly, accurately, and at an appropriate level for each student.
I approach tutoring with professionalism, patience, and flexibility. Every student learns differently, and I take the time to adapt my explanations and pacing to ensure lessons are both effective and confidence-building. I focus on helping students develop strong foundations, critical thinking skills, and independence in their learning—not just short-term improvements.

My lessons are centered on the student’s learning, not on following a single rigid teaching method. I use a variety of instructional strategies and adapt each lesson to the individual student’s needs, learning style, and pace. Because I have a strong foundation in science and mathematics, I can adjust explanations in real time and focus on the specific concepts a student needs to improve.
