About Thomas

I started in the mid-80s when the personal computer made computing accessible to people as a tool to help them succeed. Many of the software tools available then were very basic and networking was focused around simple workgroups. I spent these early years assisting businesses in building databases to help them manage information. This is long before the Internet and standardisation so telecoms was exclusively provided by BT. I have gained skills through technical support for media companies in the field of ISPs (Internet Service Providers), Mobile, Networking and Desktop Applications Integration (SharePoint). The industry today is a lot more complex so it is difficult to know which areas you should concentrate on, in order to be a valued professional in your field. I get the greatest satisfaction as a training professional in guiding adults at all levels and abilities through their subject specialisations. I believe in lifelong learning and probably spend more time learning and updating my knowledge and skills than I do delivering lessons. If you need to navigate the world of virtual, cloud and cyber within the context of emerging AI tools and learning apps, then I would love to meet you and help you achieve your dreams.

About the lesson

Tam uses your preferred learning style to explain complex topics in simple language, at a pace that will help you retain your skills. Lessons are no longer than 1 hour with time to ask questions and build on your existing knowledge to aid your understanding in context. Tam is a Certified Educator for Further Education (Cert. Ed F.E) and above. He has experience in the field of technical support, networking and cybersecurity. He has delivered courses for corporate clients and understands the requirements of professional businesses and individuals with respect to career development and progression.
