About Neha
Hello! I’m Neha, a first-year Law student at the University of Sheffield with over two years of tutoring experience. I’m passionate about helping young learners build confidence, develop strong study habits, and achieve their academic goals. Having worked closely with primary school children and prepared students for the 11+ and SATs, I know how to adapt lessons to different learning styles and make studying engaging. I’m also able to support students with English, Maths, and Sociology at GCSE level, as well as general subject support for Years 7–9. I believe tutoring isn’t just about grades; it’s about encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independence.

My teaching methodology is rooted in a student-centred approach: I adapt each lesson to the individual’s needs, learning style, and pace. I believe that no two learners are the same, so I make sure sessions are flexible and tailored, whether that means slowing down to secure the basics or pushing ahead to stretch high achievers.
A typical lesson begins with a quick recap to check understanding and build confidence, followed by focused work on the key topic or skill for that session. I often use a mixture of explanation, guided practice, and interactive tasks to keep students engaged. We finish with a short review and next steps, so progress is clear and learning feels purposeful.
Alongside subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on exam and study skills. I help students learn how to structure answers, manage their time, and use effective revision techniques: skills that support not just exams, but their wider education.
My goal is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and empowering, giving students the tools to become more confident, independent learners.

Please note: prices may vary slightly depending on the level of study. For example, primary and 11+ tutoring may be a little lower, while GCSE and A-level support may be higher. I’m always happy to discuss individual needs to find a fair rate.
