About Aurora

Hi, I'm Aurora! I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Education (B.S.) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — one of the top three computer science programs in the entire United States with legendary alumni including the creators of YouTube, PayPal, and Mosaic. That extraordinary CS culture gave me both elite technical training and an infectious entrepreneurial excitement about what coding can build. I have 5 years teaching coding to K-12 and college entry-level students through online one-on-one sessions. My "skill tree tracker" was inspired by video game progression systems — students who can visually see every skill they have unlocked and every exciting skill coming next stay engaged, motivated, and genuinely excited about coding in a way purely academic approaches never achieve. Several students have printed their skill trees and pinned them on their bedroom walls as personal achievement maps. I was recognized with the Most Engaging Coding Educator Award from a US platform for outstanding student motivation scores and exceptional learning outcomes. Every coding need you walk in with — you walk out having completely conquered it.

Hey! I offer complete, creative, and beginner-friendly online one-on-one live programming lessons for K-12, high school, college first-year, and bachelor's first-year students. Every coding need you have — completely covered. Writing first Python program? Starting right now. Building full personal website? We design and code it together. Understanding AI fundamentals for college prep? I explain it excitingly and clearly. Stuck on AP Computer Science assignment? Fixed before session ends. Learning SQL for a data science interest? Covered thoroughly and practically. My lessons cover Python, AI Basics, JavaScript, Java, SQL, HTML and CSS, C++, Algorithms, Software Development, and Cybersecurity Awareness. My brand new addition is "skill tree tracker" — a visual gamified map showing every programming skill the student has unlocked so far, with clear branches showing exactly what exciting skills are coming next. No experience needed. Fully online and completely personalized.
