Hi, my name is Eli and I'm a Burlington-based math tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and real teaching experience as a university Teaching Assistant. I'm someone who genuinely enjoys breaking down complex ideas and finding the clearest, most intuitive way to explain them — it's something I've always had a knack for, long before it became a professional skill. About the lesson

With a degree in Mathematics and experience as a university Teaching Assistant, I bring both deep subject knowledge and real classroom experience to every session. My approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than surface-level memorization — before touching a formula, I make sure you know why it works, not just how to apply it. Every session starts with a quick check-in to identify what's clicked and what hasn't, then we move into concept review, guided problem solving, and independent practice, always at a pace that matches your understanding. What sets me apart is that I've been on both sides of the struggle — I've sat through the same courses feeling lost, and I've stood at the front of a classroom learning how to explain hard ideas clearly and quickly. There are no dumb questions here, just problems we haven't solved yet. My tutoring is best suited for high school students in advanced math, including Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Functions, and Data Management.
