About Gillian
I’m a Grade 5 teacher, a proud mom, and a devoted dog mom who believes learning should be meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable. Working with students every day has strengthened my passion for helping children grow in confidence and develop a love for learning, especially when it comes to reading and language.
As someone who truly loves to read, I enjoy sharing that passion with others and helping students discover stories, ideas, and skills that inspire them. I understand that every learner is unique, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
Balancing life as a teacher and a mom has taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of building strong connections. Whether in the classroom or while tutoring, my goal is always to help students feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
