About Luke
I currently studying for a Law degree at the University of Cambridge, and have studied English Literature to an A-Level standard, receiving an A* grade. During my English A-Level I specialised in studying modules such as Comedy and social and political protest writing, however I have also studied standard GCSE texts such as 'Of Mice and Men', and 'An Inspector Calls'. As a Cambridge student, I can also give advice on the university application process.

My teaching method for English Literature involves a close basis in the set texts. Complex literary analysis requires the student to have an exemplary understanding of the course material and the context surrounding it, therefore the first step in any class must focus on reading and understanding the texts. After this is achieved, lessons can progress to exploring specific literary techniques, the writers methods and intentions, and the structure of the texts. Finally, writing style and sentence structure are vital to develop.
