About David

I've been working with Java for over 20 years and I have designed and written several commercial projects of several hundred thousand lines of code. I also teach at the University of Birmingham at Undergraduate and Masters level and I understand that students sometimes require individual attention to excel. I've been programming for years and can quickly spot where you need help and where you don't. I'm happy to work with absolute beginners, but equally I'm happy to help more experienced developers that are switching from other languages or brushing up on their skills. I have a website that shows some of the fun little projects that I have done at home, as well as information about some of the simulation work that I do. About the lesson

I can teach either beginner programming principles or more advanced programming by doing small or large projects. Projects will always be fun - like building a little game or app. I think it's the best way to learn because it will give you real experience and something that you can add to a portfolio to show off your skills. I can also do Leetcode, Codility or Codewars exercises. These are little puzzles that will prepare you for technical interview tests. I know that programming is an art and I'm confident that I can inspire you to learn with fun and interesting projects. Java programming is a massively in demand skill and I would love to help you to achieve your career dreams.
