About Philip
Hello! I'm Philip, a fully qualified teacher of Middle School Social Studies and English to Speakers of Other Languages in the United States. I am based in Manchester, UK and I can teach online or face to face!*
After having lived in South Korea for 7 years, teaching English as a Foreign Language to Middle School Students, I've turned my hand to online tutoring as I seek to grow myself as a teacher. I can teach US History, World History, Geography, US Government and Civics to students of all ages!
I can also teach English as a Foreign Language to all levels!
As a teacher, I am kind, reliable and patient, I want to help you get to where you want to be. Therefore, I'd like to understand your specific needs and the results you want to get from your learning experience, I'll tailor my lessons to your needs and ensure that you can grow as a learner and reach your goals!
*Face to Face lessons can be provided in the following locations in Cheshire and South Manchester -
Heald Green, Handforth, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Styal, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Gatley, East Didsbury, Burnage - Other locations will be considered!

I am more experienced teaching English as a Second Language, which is what I taught in South Korea at Middle School (UK High School) level for 7 years.
I have gained a further endorsement to teach Middle School Social Studies, which contains World History, United States History, Economics, Government and Civics and Geography.
