About Leoba
Hi there! I'm Leo — a 24-year-old Law graduate from UNISA, and a passionate tutor with years of experience teaching students from primary school all the way to university level. I specialize in English and Law, and I’m known for being relatable, enthusiastic, and results-driven in my teaching. I’ve always been drawn to teaching because I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and understanding. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about breaking down a complex concept and seeing that “aha!” moment on a student’s face. Teaching, for me, is not just about content — it’s about connection, clarity, and making sure each student feels seen, heard, and supported. In addition to private tutoring, I currently serve as the Academic and Projects Officer for the UNISA Law Students Association (ULSA) on a national level. I’ve participated in moot court competitions, led academic initiatives, and won public speaking awards — all of which have sharpened my ability to communicate, mentor, and inspire. My lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored to you. I use plain English to unpack big ideas and adapt my teaching style to fit your level and goals. As a UNISA Law graduate and experienced private tutor, my approach to teaching is highly interactive, practical, and personalised. I have years of experience tutoring learners across all levels—from primary school and high school to university students. This broad exposure enables me to adapt seamlessly to the needs, pace, and learning styles of different students, whether we’re covering basic concepts or unpacking complex academic material.
I teach in English and am proficient in simplifying difficult legal and language-related concepts into clear, easy-to-understand terms. I make big ideas feel small and accessible—so no student ever feels left behind. My lessons are student-centred and filled with energy, enthusiasm, and real-world examples that bring learning to life.
