About Poppy
I love books. I love thinking. I love learning. I know that sounds nerdy but it’s the truth. That passion is a part of who I am. I would like to believe that i’m also compassionate, and understanding, and socially progressive. I have unique perspectives on literature and philosophy that not only impress examiners but hopefully make it a bit more interesting to a student.

Due to my own status as a student then I have a unique perspective and understanding of other students positions. I am also in the midst of exploring my passion for the subjects I hope to teach in the future and aim to focus my lesson plans (individualised to the clients needs) on imparting some of this passion as well as giving students the skills needed to get their desired grades in exams- whatever these grades may be.
I am happy to work with neurodivergent or mentally I’ll students and will ensure that I am pro-active on considering any additional needs and how these needs may change over time.
Considering that I am still studying myself then I am knowledgeable on many study techniques and how different types of learners will learn best. My main aim in teaching is not just to get people to pass exams or enjoy their subjects, it’s to help people learn how they learn best as I truly believe that knowing how you learn is an invaluable life skill.
