About Ralph
Hi I’m Ralph, I’m currently studying engineering at the University of Sheffield. From completing my GCSEs I have had varied experience tutoring children of all ages in maths and physics at different levels. I have also had positive experiences supporting children outside of academic settings and have received positive feedback. This is something I thoroughly enjoyed and would like to pursue further with tutoring. As someone who has been tutored in the past I understand how to engage with children in an enjoyable and supportive manner. At GCSE level I achieved 9s in both physics and mathematics and at A level I achieved A grade in both subjects. Throughout my years of study I had participated in multiple school led maths challenges and finished high. I am familiar with the Pearson Edexcel exam board for maths, having taken it myself, as well as the Edexcel and AQA exam board for physics.

I aim to provide an inclusive, engaging environment for my students. My teaching plan will be specific to each child’s needs, in order to reach their full potential. I will provide the student with tasks to complete, and mark these tasks in my own time so that our time together can be spent focusing on the best ways to improve based on the feedback provided. I encourage parents to contact me if their child had a query that couldn’t be brought up in the lesson; this would then be answered in the following lesson.
